SWPPP AWARENESS TRAINING
Why Train Your Staff?
Train your staff on the
components of the SWPPP to help maintain compliance with
the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program.
While training is voluntary, awareness becomes essential
in assuring that your staff understands their
responsibilities in implementation, evaluation and
monitoring.
The objective of this work is to train key SWPPP staff
members on the requirements of the SWPPP document,
implementation procedures and techniques. The
over-riding goal of a SWPPP document is to develop a
user-friendly document that is easily used and
effectively managed.
However, there are components of the SWPPP
program that are not straightforward and there are
sampling techniques that need to be followed to produce
meaningful results.
